Bell $0.01 charges

We are aware of many residents getting charged $0.01 on their recent bill from Bell. We have notified Bell of this error and they are looking at correcting this minor error.

Bicycles – If you have one, REGISTER IT now!

We have a good mix of owners and resident here at Place IV — many of us like to exercise and try to stay physically active – and cycling is a popular activity especially during the warm months.

However, we only have a limited amount of bike racks in our garages.  We MUST account for all these bikes and make sure they belong to our current residents — therefore, you MUST REGISTER YOUR BICYCLE(s)!

As some owners leave or other residents move away, many times their bicycles are left behind – locked to the rack and never to be ridden again.  Last year we removed about 50 bicycles that were not registered and abandoned.  We posted many notices in the elevators reminding all residents to register their bikes. before removing the unregistered bicycles.

This fall, we will undertake this task again – unregistered bikes will be removed and disposed. We have limited space and must provide racks to those who need them.  We will post notices again hoping that our bicycle owners will remember to register their bikes.

Already registered?

If you registered your existing bikes already you do not need to register again – but if you replaced a bike or added a new one, please register it!

REMINDER   Just as a reminder, you cannot have a bicycle IN the building (elevators, hallways, stairwells). They must be kept on a bike rack – preferably locked.  The corporation is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of any bicycle(s).

BELL Bulk services

Our Bell Bulk services are included in your monthly fees.

The bulk package includes unlimited internet, up to 2 WiFi pods per unit, Bell TV including 10 a-la-carte channels (extra channels above their “Better” TV package, one 4K PVR and optionally up to two 1K digital TV boxes.

If you’ve added specialty TV services or extra WiFi Pods (more than 2) or opted in for Home-phone at $15 or $30 per month, then these are your legitimate charges – and are not included in our bulk services.

However, if you see charges for the included services, please email BellInfo@PlaceIV.com — include your suite number in the subject line (e.g., “3505 – extra charges”) and please provide the details of what you believe are overcharges.  We will communicate with Bell to try to resolve these charges, if they are found to be in error.

NOTE:   Do not call the management office for Bell issues – use the email link.  The Management office personnel are not involved with the Bell contract support.

Reminder: No Pets!

Just a reminder to all owners and residents … pets are NOT ALLOWED in this building.

All owners have signed a document acknowledging this rule when purchasing a suite at PlaceIV.

Violators may incur legal costs to have pets removed.  Residents with pet allergies are expecting no pets as per our building declaration.

Exceptions are: Fish, Birds and Officially registered SERVICE Animals (a certificate certifying that an animal is registered as a SERVICE animal may be required as proof that the animal has been trained as a Service animal).

Rogers Bulk TV service is now terminated

Please note that effective January 1, 2022, our Rogers bulk contract has ended.

What this means for you is that If you have not yet cancelled your Rogers TV service (which has been included in your “condo fees” for the past 5 years), you will be billed by Rogers for your TV services — unless you’ve called Rogers and have returned the TV device (PVR or set-top boxes).

If your Rogers services are still active and equipment has not yet been returned to Rogers,  you will receive a bill from Rogers every month for the service.  That service is no longer covered by your condo fees.

Note that the entire building now has BELL Fibe TV to replace Rogers TV and the new Bell services contract INCLUDES Bell FIBE 1.5GB Internet — all for less than we were paying for just Rogers TV.  If you have internet service with another provider, you could cancel that service and save money every month as Bell is now providing this high-speed service for ALL units in this building.

Bell WiFi Pods

There has been confusion about the number of WiFi pods that Bell will provide as part of our package deal.  The answer is TWO of the larger WiFi pods.

Many reps still have orders that contain only 1 pod — they may tell you that there will be an additional $5 per month charge for the extra pod — Bell has conceded that 2 pods are needed and will reverse any charges for the extra pod — you can get more than 2, but you will have to pay the extra charge monthly.

If Bell tells you there will be a charge, tell them to get you the 2nd pod anyway.  If you still see charges for the pods in your next Bell bill, email BellInfo@PlaceIV.com with the subject line:  Overcharge  for your unit#.

We will forward these issues to Bell.

Bell TV and Internet

As you may have noticed, Bell is active in the building installing their new Fibe TV and Internet services in each unit.   They will install your services only if you call and request an installation.   Information flyers were made available to everyone and are now available at the Front Desk — these sheets contain the instructions you need to get your new Bell services (included in your condo fees).

NOTE:  If you have had your Bell services installed and are satisfied with the service. you MUST call Rogers and cancel yourTV services immediately, otherwise you may be facing a  bill from Rogers in January for the TV services (including the set-top box rental, if applicable).

Free Common area WiFi

Since we’ve been upgraded to BELL Internet,  we have the ability to offer WiFi access to the Lobby area, Gyms and Party Room.

The passwords will be posted in the gyms and party room.  For Lobby WiFi, please ask the concierge at the front desk.

Passwords will be subject to change infrequently, so be sure to check in the respective areas for the latest passwords.

Lobby View

With Rogers services terminated on Dec. 31, 2021, the Lobby Channel no longer available.   In its place we added the Lobby-View page where you can view the lobby from.

The Lobby-View is made available to all residents — but is password protected to prevent outsiders from viewing our lobby. To get your Lobby-View password, you will have to email LobbyView@PlaceIV.com and provide your Unit# and name. A password will be emailed back to you if you are the registered owner of the suite.  The password is also posted at the Front Desk.

Please refrain from sharing the password with non-residents. We will be changing the password occasionally.   If you are unable to connect, please email us for the password again.

You can click on the Lobby View on the top line (or click here).  Provide your password where prompted.
